This conference aims to raise awareness and strengthen the understanding of Mauritanian public decision-makers and key sectoral stakeholders regarding:

• The impacts of climate change on transport infrastructure and services.
• The urgency of assessing climate-related risks and vulnerabilities in the transport sector.
• Available tools, methodologies, and policy approaches for planning and implementing effective adaptation measures.
• The critical role of public administrations in leading and coordinating climate change adaptation actions in transport systems.

Building on the findings and lessons learned from the report, the ARC will focus on the specific situation in Mauritania, engaging with key national and international stakeholders in the field of climate change adaptation to foster discussion and identify the next steps for the national transport sector.
