The MURUNAMED project brings together a multidisciplinary team from across the Mediterranean, with expertise in transport, climate change adaptation, and regional cooperation. Drawing on academic, institutional, research, and policy backgrounds, the team combines research, practice, and decision-making perspectives to address the region’s transport and climate challenges.

Prof. Dr. Sergi Saurí

Role: Team Leader
Director of CENIT and Associate Professor at UPC, specialising in transport economics, logistics, and mobility policy. Extensive experience leading international research and advisory projects for governments, multilateral organisations, and the European Commission.

Prof. Dr. Salpie Djoundourian
MedCCC
Role: Scientific Committee
Associate Professor of Economics at the Lebanese American University and Coordinator at MedECC, specialising in environmental and natural resource economics. Her work focuses on climate policy, sustainability, and evidence-based public policy, combining academic research with advisory work for international organisations and public institutions.
